And if you’re not a journalist, read (former hack) Tom Rachman’s *absolutely brilliant* novel anyway, which I started last night and haven’t been able to put down since; unless something goes horrendously wrong three quarters of the way through, it will be my favourite read this year. It’s about an English-language newspaper produced in Rome, from inception to last legs; each chapter is about a staff member.
